Budget Tapes & Records was a chain of record stores, and the Billings location opened on Grand Avenue in 1974. It later moved to West Park Plaza and eventually closed in 1987.

Here’s a story we found..."You waited for hours in the parking lot of Budget Tapes & Records at 2043 Grand Ave. You keep the Polaroid photo of you and Jon Bon Jovi in a frame on your desk so that you can tell coworkers you “knew” him before “Livin’ on a Prayer.”
