This is our original design by Tana Hanson. Pioneer Park is a leafy, laughter-filled tribute to Billings’ early days. Planted on former ranchland in 1912 and officially named in 1918 to honor Montana’s trailblazing settlers, the park was dedicated with great fanfare on July 27, 1932, complete with speeches by the Mayor and Judge Goddard.

Today, it’s alive with tennis tournaments, frisbee golf, sledding, Symphony in the Park and kids everywhere! The grills are always sizzling on summer Saturdays. When I was little, we called it the “picnic park” . Do you remember when you could drive the station wagon right through on a paved loop? When my kids were growing up, it was affectionately known as “pie and deer park.”

Designed by landscape architect Dorothy Gray (look for her t-shirt soon!), the park’s layout is still inline with her vision. This bag effortlessly combines style and practicality, making it an essential accessory for anyone on the go. Its spacious design allows you to carry everything you need, from groceries to books, to those fabulous vintage finds at an estate sale.
